About Us

Occasionally Hilarious is an improv comedy and performance group based in Lincoln, NE.  Here is your friendly and Occasionally Hilarious cast…
Dave “DC” Schmitter

Dave “DC” Schmitter

Dave dreamed of going into comedy as a child so naturally, after a brief competitive roller-skating career, he pursued a PhD in physics. Soooooo many laughs there. Now, he works on his material while molding young minds at SCC.

Favorite Games: Boxes of Emotion (even though he needs many of them defined), Scenes from a Hat, Netflix and Chill

Mark Riley

Mark Riley

Mark always wanted to be a mad scientist and actually was able to achieve both, especially the mad part.  He is fortunate to be able to work with some of the smartest people on the UNL campus.  His really big dream of becoming a professional athlete was thwarted by his choosing to only grow to a height of 3’9”.

Favorite Games: Line in My Pocket, 5 Words, ABC’s, Netflix and Chill

Tim Mittan

Tim Mittan

Hello all my fellow Gingers!  It is our destiny to take over the world and enslave the… oh, sorry—wrong group.  My bad. I’m Tim… kinda, sorta the leader of the OH! I love long walks on warm summer nights and improv. Just forget that other stuff.

Favorite Games: Missing Word, Is This Your Life and Four Square

Marcia White

Marcia White

Following a brief, unfulfilling pageant career in her western Nebraska hometown (runner up in the Miss Camp Clark pageant and Miss Head in the 4-H pageant), Marcia made her way to Lincoln where she earned two UNL degrees. After a couple decades in public relations, Marcia chucked it all and moved to Ghana, West Africa, to serve in the U.S. Peace Corps. She considers her up-close-and-personal work with crocodiles perfect preparation for her current endeavors in improv. When she’s not trying desperately to avoid playing “Poetry Slam,” she works for a community health foundation.

Favorite Games: Line in My Pocket, Movie Genres, Press Conference, Minister’s Cat

Roy Furr

Roy Furr

By day, Roy writes junk mail.  Yeah, there are actually people who do that for a living.  And if you see him at coffee shops around town, banging on his laptop keyboard, he swears he’s working.  He’s also a really terrible person who gets a thrill out of making other people feel awkward.  If you like to laugh at other people’s misery (with love, of course), you’ll get along fine…

Favorite Games: Line in My Pocket, Missing Words, Monologue

Rick Kohn

Rick Kohn

I took up improv because it scared me to death. I fence poorly, I play chess well, and I like computer games and board games. I am an all-around nerd!

Favorite Games: My favorite game is cribbage. My best game is Clue. OH, and I like improv games too.

Anton Lintel

Anton Lintel

Catching Anton in his natural habitat includes sightings on bar patios with his sweet pup Bella, laughing and meeting new people. He may also be observed in front of a computer with his eyebrows knit together, coding away for the sake of humanity. He’s truly enjoying building his comedy skills in a van down by the river. Wait…

Favorite Games: Four Square, Line in My Pocket, 5 Words, and more
