We’re doing it again — a night of improv comedy fun, for a good cause!

Join us on Saturday, May 11th, at 7 PM — at Church of the Holy Trinity, 6001 A Street, Lincoln, NE.

We’re raise money for The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life — to support cancer research, and to help cancer patients and their families.

$10 suggested donation for admission.  Snacks available for purchase.

You, too, can learn Improv… And improve your life! (Classes start April 6, 2020)

Do you want to be funnier?  Have more fun?  Be more spontaneous?  Be more open in communication?  Or maybe even get over your fears of getting up and talking in front of a room full of people?

Do you want to learn a new skill that can help you in every area of your life where you communicate with other human beings (and perhaps the occasional non-human)?

Or, do you have secret (or not so secret) aspirations of joining us as a future member of Occasionally Hilarious?

These and all your wildest dreams can come true…  In Improv 101!

Lincoln, Nebraska’s BEST improv comedy and performance class is ALSO where Occasionally Hilarious came together.

You’ll find a warm, welcoming environment where you get to learn and practice improv games, acting, and comedy with a group of peers who are going through it with you.

Improv 101 is once again being offered as a continuing education course from Southeast Community College, starting April 6, 2020.

Our fearless founder, Tim Mittan-Thompson teaches the class.  In it, you’ll learn the fundamentals of improv.  Plus, you’ll have ample opportunity to practice and play in a safe and welcoming environment.

And good news if you’re afraid of performing — you don’t have to!  Once you’ve completed Improv 101, you’ll be ready — if you choose — to go on to the next level, and potential performance opportunities.

Improv 101

Improv is spontaneous, entertaining and fun. It is the ability to create a scene (with at least one partner), spontaneously, in the moment, based on a suggestion. Join us and discover the basic rules of Improvisation; Agreement (Yes, and), Adding New and Useful Information, and Commitment to the Scene.

Improv is unique in that once you see a scene there will never be another exactly like it. Improv is different every time.

Your seasoned improvisational instructor, Tim Mittan, brings professional experience to the classroom so don’t miss this great opportunity!

April 6 – May 18, 2020, Mondays from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

1. Go to the SCC Continuing Education Website 
2. Click the big orange Register Online button on the left
3. Type “Improv 101” into the Search for field
4. Check the box next to Improv 101 and click the Submit button below
5. Fill out the form and complete the registration process
